On November 9, the 29th Postgraduate Science and Technology Thesis Reporting Conference of the Institute of Geophysics and Geomatics was smoothly held. The conference was divided into two venues, Exploration 、Soild information. A total of 42 graduate students participated in the conference.

    This newsletter adopted the 5+3 mode, where the contestants expressed themselves for 5 minutes and the judges asked questions for 3 minutes. The reports covered a wide range of topics, including geodetic surveying, seismic, electromagnetic, petrophysical, as well as remote sensing inversion. The report content is innovative to some extent. The judges of the venue judged carefully, listened to the report of each contestant, made glowing reviews on the contents of the reports, and raised targeted questions.

    The students participated in the Scientific and Technical Thesis Conference of the Postgraduate was enthusiastic and the academic atmosphere of the venue was strong. The conference provided a platform for students to demonstrate themselves as well as further promoting academic exchanges between institute students in the institution.

    Kuitao Zhang, Wenxiang Xia and other five students won the first prize of the College Science Conference. Le Mei, Cheng Liu and other ten students won the second prize. Jianyu Fan, Pengfei Zhang and other twelve students won the third prize. The team winning the first prize will be recommended by the college to participate in the School Science Reporting defense.
